VP of Finance

We are actively searching for a hands on finance executive who has a proven record of integrating people, building a strong finance function for a global company, building and implementing global processes, building strong financial planning analytics and other resources to achieve consistent results in systematic ways as described below.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day to day financial operations for both domestic and international operations of the organization to deliver timely accurate detailed information to management, the board and all levels of the organization in support of productive decisions that effectively achieve the company’s vision and mission. Provide accurate forecasts and timely reports related to all financial operations on a daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis as required by management and investors. Manage cash flow to meet immediate and long-term operational needs. Assist in raising money to finance growth and operations. Manage accounts receivables, payables, bookkeeping and all other accounting functions to drive cash flow and deliver financial efficiency and positive relations with customers and suppliers. Minimize tax consequences. Support M&A operations including due diligence and planning for efficient integration of acquired assets. Identify what must be in place to maximize organizational growth. Manage risk to protect all assets. Manage bank and other financial relationships to benefit the organization. Meet all local, state and national compliance, regulatory and filing requirements. Identify priorities and deliver on KPI’s. Provide cost benefit analyses to support decisions. Participate in the development of the overall business strategy. Execute as directed by the CEO and the Board. Deliver a high degree of accuracy and efficiency in a timely way. Support profitable operations in every way possible.
  • Develop, monitor and continuously improve systems and processes that serve organizational needs and improve decision making. Use data to identify opportunities for improvement, solve problems and remove constraints that impede organizational ability to deliver what we promise at a robust level of both growth and profitability. Participate in the leadership and coordination of planning in a timely manner: budgets, business planning, and procedures to bring order to the organization. Lead the formulation of policies and procedures. Review and improve all rules and standards for compliance. Drive positive change and innovation in financial operations and throughout the organization.
  • Over time expand, manage, recruit, hire, onboard, develop, empower and continuously
    inspire an efficient, practical and effective team of talented, ambitious people to achieve the objectives and goals of the department and organization. Identify top talent within your organization and insure they are developed and rewarded to incentivize performance and retention. Work collaboratively and in support of an executive team focused on driving the aggressive growth of our customer base while providing the highest value. Operate with integrity that earns trust. Celebrate daily wins. Set up and drive accountability for results every day in a timely way within your organization. Focus on execution. Support and educate business teams to achieve their goals, translating financial thinking, information and actions into execution. Develop and execute coherent plans that are tied to the vision, mission, and values of the organization. Develop and implement incentives to drive performance. Align department goals with organizational goals to ensure the company is moving in the right direction and hold people accountable to those goals. Intervene immediately to eliminate non-productive conflict. Create a strong, high performing department populated by confident and capable talent able to serve internal and external customers.

Skills & Qualifications

Meet Our Minimum Requirements:

  • BS/MBA in Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience:
    • 10 years in all aspects of financial management.
    • 4 years managing finance in small growing businesses.
    • Building a lean staff of competent people.
    • Managing banking and venture capital resources.
    • Corporate governance.
    • Negotiation.
    • Interacting with a high performing executive team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA/Public Accounting Background
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with businesses that manage and technology
