Senior Technical Project Manager

We’re an extremely fast paced organization looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager (‘Project Manager’) to manage multiple software development projects simultaneously. Reporting to the VP of Product, the Senior Project Manager will work closely with various team members to manage high visibility projects and requires the ability to take charge and manage the outcomes of the efforts of disparate groups.

The Sr. Project Manager will influence and contribute to continually improve and fine tune processes in order to manage projects across a distributed team. The Sr. Project Manager must clearly communicate project progress in the form of regular status reporting, maintaining project plans, tasks and status meetings. This role includes supporting all Domestic and International teams and ensuring we solve customer problems that maximize revenue, profit and market share in existing and emerging markets.

  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Ops, Finance, Marketing and Regional leads. Create a collaborative environment that reinforces transparency, quality, and continuous learning.
  • Ability and willingness to learn, influence and adapt practices that work for the team, as opposed to working prescriptively to effect process changes.
  • Track completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines; track milestones and timelines across projects.
  • Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are communicated.
  • Work with stakeholders to manage resource planning for projects within the areas of responsibility.
  • Manage and maintain multiple project schedules, drive team-level deliverable, and communicate to stakeholders.
  • Provide executive team project reporting- project status, risks, issues and mitigation plan.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years of working experience as a Technical Program Manager, Development Manager, or similar experience.
  • Must have a strong technical background sufficient to understand nuances and challenges faced by software development teams.
  • Have led one or more project teams involving a large group of people working together to integrate an acquired company or have migrated acquired assets.
  • Have led one or more project teams involving a large group of people working together to develop a software product.
  • At least four years of detailed system analysis including interpretation of marketing and business requirements and development of the related system design specifications.
  • Technical knowledge of Software Engineering practices, experience in a variety of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Experience with tracking and reporting tools, JIRA preferred. Affinity with Confluence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or Project Management. Masters in Project Management is a plus.
